| Foam Spheres |
 |
|
| |
|
|
| |
|
| |
Foam spheres
are available in various styles
as with foam pigs, including bare,
criss-cross, silicon-carbide, wirebrush
and plastic bristle. They are used
for the same applications as standard
foam pigs, however, they are able
to negotiate some piping configurations
that standard foam pigs cannot,
as well as, being capable of multiple
units being stacked in specially
designed sphere launcher and mechanically
launched. Medium-density criss-cross
spheres are constructed of 5 pound
per cubic foot density foam and
coated with polyurethane elastomer
in criss-cross pattern. They are
used for regular-duty wiping,
batching and product-removal applications.
Options and other configurations
include customized diameters for
special pigging applications. |

The
FWP series of foam wiping pigs
are an excellent pig for all types
of batching and product removal
applications. The unique design
offers multiple discs and a rear
sealing cup for unsurpassed sealing
capabilities. The FWP series is
also available with brush wraps
for cleaning applications.
The FWP5 pig is equipped with
bullet nose, multiple discs, and
cup-shaped rear. It's constructed
from medium-density open-cell
polyurethane foam with a high-grade
abrasion and chemical resistant
polyurethane elastomer coating.
The multiple sealing discs and
rear cup make it an excellent
pig for regular wiping, batching,
dewatering and product removal.
Options include bare (no coating);
varying gauges of wirebrush and
plastic bristle; dual-diameter
configuration; pulling rope or
cable; transmitter or pinger cavity;
magnets; customized diameters
and lengths for special pigging
applications.

Steel
Pigs
Steel pigs are a more long-term, long-life
pig. They consist of a steel mandrel body
with replaceable sealing elements (cups and
discs). They can also be equipped with abrasive
components (brushes and blades) for removing
deposits on the interior pipe wall. The advantage
of steel pigs is the ability to replace the
wearing components, thereby rendering it a
new pig. Individual specification sheets,
found within each product classification,
outline the different types of applications
and options.

Brush Cleaning Pigs
|
| |
Brush cleaning pigs are used during pre-commission
and on-stream cleaning where rust, millscale,
sand, wax, organic growth, mud, oxides, and
other foreign matter exist. Sizes range from
2" through 48", with brush configurations
including wire wheel, split-ring, wrap-around,
and spring mounted. When equipped with a gauging
plate, they are used to prove pipe roundness
and to ensure excessive weld penetration or
debris does not exist. Also, they are used
to prove minimum bend radius prior to intelligent
pig use.

Disc Replacement
Pigs |
| |
Disc displacement pigs are used for standard
pigging operations such as filling and dewatering
during hydrostatic testing, routine batching
operations, product removal, or any pigging
operation requiring bidirectional use. These
pigs are also very effective for product separation.
They are available in sizes from 2" through
48" with configurations including 2-disc
and 4-disc as standard. When equipped with
a gauging plate, they are used to prove pipe
roundness and to ensure excessive weld penetration
or debris does not exist. Also, they are used
to prove minimum bend radius prior to intelligent
pig use.

Multi Disc
|
|
Multi-disc design allows for excellent sealing capabilities
for performing the duties of batching, gauging,
product removal, pre-commission and on-stream cleaning,
or any pigging operation requiring bidirectional
use. Equipped with gauging plate, pig is used to
prove pipe roundness and to ensure excessive weld
penetration or debris does not exist. Also used
to prove minimum bend radius prior to intelligent
pig use. |
