Foam pigs
are an inexpensive and versatile
type of pipeline cleaning device.
They are lightweight and easy to
work with and able to negotiate
uncommon piping, fittings, and valves.
Sizes range from 2" to 60"
standard, with densities of foam
ranging from 2-pound, 5-pound, and
8-pound per cubic foot. Standard
configurations include bare, criss-cross,
wirebrush, plastic bristle, and
silicon carbide. A pig style can
be identified to best suit your
application by reviewing specification
sheets found within each product
classification. They are used for
drying, cleaning, batching, and
product removal operations in the
oil and gas, municipality, food
and beverage, mining, chemical and
petrochemical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical
industries. |

Pigs |

Bare foam
pigs are primarily used for drying
and sweeping of loose debris, gauging
of internal pipe conditions before
extensive pigging, sealing behind
stuck pig, batching operations,
and product removal. Models are
available in 2, 5 and 8 pound per
cubic foot density. The pig is constructed
from an open-cell polyurethane foam
with a durable polyurethane elastomer
coating on base. Heavy-density
bare pigs are constructed of 8
pound per cubic foot density foam
and coated with polyurethane elastomer
on base. They are used for drying
and sweeping of loose debris.
However, other functions include
using as a gauging pig for determining
internal pipe conditions prior
to extensive pigging, using as
a sealing pig behind a stuck pig,
using for batching and product
removal, and for pigging where
low volumes and pressures are
present. Options and other configurations
include double-dish, double-nose,
pulling rope or cable, transmitter
or pinger cavity, jetting bypass
ports, magnets, customized diameters
and lengths for special pigging
applications.
Medium-density bare pigs are
constructed of 5 pound per cubic
foot density foam and coated with
polyurethane elastomer on base.
They are used for drying and sweeping
of loose debris. However, other
functions include using as a gauging
pig for determining internal pipe
conditions prior to extensive
pigging, using as a sealing pig
behind a stuck pig, using for
batching and product removal,
and for pigging where low volumes
and pressures are present. Options
and other configurations include
double-dish, double-nose, pulling
rope or cable, transmitter or
pinger cavity, jetting bypass
ports, magnets, customized diameters
and lengths for special pigging
applications.
Light-density bare swabs are
constructed of 2 pound per cubic
foot density foam and coated with
polyurethane elastomer on base.
They are used for drying and sweeping
of loose debris. However, other
functions include using as a gauging
pig for determining internal pipe
conditions prior to extensive
pigging, using as a sealing pig
behind a stuck pig, using for
batching and product removal,
and for pigging where low volumes
and pressures are present. Options
and other configurations include
coating at both ends, bullet nose,
double-nose, pulling rope or cable,
transmitter or pinger cavity,
jetting bypass ports, magnets,
customized diameters and lengths
for special pigging applications.

Wirebrush
foam pigs are primarily used for
cleaning lines with buildup or
debris in new construction and
routine maintenance. Models are
available in 2, 5 and 8 pound
per cubic foot density. The pig
is constructed from an open-cell
polyurethane foam with a durable
polyurethane elastomer coating
in criss-cross pattern, and equipped
with wirebrush straps.
Heavy-density wirebrush pigs
are constructed of 8 pound per
cubic foot density foam, coated
with polyurethane elastomer in
criss-cross pattern, and equipped
with wirebrush straps. They are
used for heavy cleaning applications
for buildup removal. Options and
other configurations include double-dish,
double-nose, pulling rope or cable,
transmitter or pinger cavity,
jetting bypass ports, magnets,
customized diameters and lengths
for special pigging applications.
Medium-density wirebrush pigs
are constructed of 5 pound per
cubic foot density foam, coated
with polyurethane elastomer in
criss-cross pattern, and equipped
with wirebrush straps. They are
used for medium cleaning applications
for buildup removal. Options and
other configurations include double-dish,
double-nose, pulling rope or cable,
transmitter or pinger cavity,
jetting bypass ports, magnets,
customized diameters and lengths
for special pigging applications.
Light-density wirebrush pigs
are constructed of 2 pound per
cubic foot density foam, coated
with polyurethane elastomer in
criss-cross pattern, and equipped
with wirebrush straps. They are
used for light cleaning applications
for buildup removal, and where
low volumes and pressures are
present. Options and other configurations
include double-dish, double-nose,
pulling rope or cable, transmitter
or pinger cavity, jetting bypass
ports, magnets, customized diameters
and lengths for special pigging
applications

Coated
foam pigs are used for regular
wiping and general cleaning. Models
are available in 2, 5 and 8 pound
per cubic foot density. The pig
is constructed from an open-cell
polyurethane foam with a durable
polyurethane elastomer coating

Heavy-density criss-cross pigs
are constructed of 8 pound per
cubic foot density foam and coated
with polyurethane elastomer in
criss-cross pattern. They are
used for heavy-duty wiping, batching
and product-removal applications.
Options and other configurations
